Sonia Anand McMaster University

McMaster University has welcomed Sonia Anand as acting associate vice-president, equity and inclusion. Dr. Anand is a professor of medicine and epidemiology in the department of medicine and health evidence and impact at McMaster, and has led the equity and diversity portfolio in the department of medicine since 2018. She is also the director of the Chanchlani Research Centre focused on health equity research, and holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in ethnic diversity and cardiovascular disease.
