York University and the Federation for Humanities and Social Sciences are thrilled to welcome up to 8,000 scholars, graduate students, and practitioners in the humanities and social sciences this May. Shelagh Rowles Yukon University

Shelagh Rowles has accepted the position of provost and vice-president, academic, at Yukon University. She has been with the institution since 1991. She has served as executive director of its centre for northern innovation in mining since 2012. Dr. Rowles holds an interdisciplinary PhD in the fields of history, public policy and innovation.
