UVic in global top 10 for impact

The University of Victoria is among the top 10 universities worldwide for advancing UN Sustainable Development Goals, according to the latest Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. UVic is a leader in Canada, ranking first in the country for climate action impact– third globally – in the 2023 assessment. The annual Times Higher Ed analysis affirms UVic’s 30-plus year commitment to climate action through research, stewardship, outreach, teaching and partnerships. In April, the B.C.-based university announced it will lead a national research initiative with more than 40 partners that will help Canada reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reach net-zero goals.
